Preformed Binding Wire Series
Product Features
① Compared with manual binding wires, distribution binding wires provide a better fixing effect on conductors. The design of distribution binding wires allows the intact conductor to have a certain degree of controlled movement. Under certain conditions, it can also return the conductor to its original position. The ability of the binding wire to yield and recover under different load conditions is called "resilience" — every distribution binding wire has this characteristic.
② Material Strength: The binding wire is made of aluminum - clad steel or aluminum alloy wire, and its material strength is far higher than that of manual binding wires made of soft aluminum.
③ Distribution binding wires fit tightly with insulators, enabling them to resist upward loads and prevent conductors from jumping off the insulators.
④ For Impact Loads: The elastic binding wire acts as an absorber of impact loads. It reduces the load and holds the conductor securely. For various vibration situations (e.g., low - frequency swaying vibration, high - frequency wind - induced vibration, and swinging), the binding wire will not loosen and will not cause conductor wear.
⑤ High Consistency: The precise design makes the binding wire easy to install correctly. The pre - forming technology in the factory enables the binding wire to fit tightly with the conductor and insulator, resulting in strong consistency.
⑥ Radio Interference: The Radio Interference Voltage (RIV) characteristics of distribution binding wires are the same as those of corresponding high - quality manual binding wires. During use, preformed binding wires always fit well, and their RIV characteristics are superior to those of loose binding wires.
⑦ Dual - Support: In a double - cross - arm structure, when the conductor crosses a road, railway, or at the conductor’s turning point, the dual - support binding wire can securely fix the conductor at the top of the insulator.
⑧ Line Angle:
a) General Guiding Principle: On vertically installed insulators, distribution binding wires usually allow a line angle of less than 10°. When the insulator is installed on an inclined surface at a certain angle to the vertical direction, a larger angle may be allowed (depending on the actual inclined surface of the insulator). Using side binding wires and distribution binding wires on the same structure will also affect the allowable line angle of that structure.b) In general, the conductor should be located in the insulator groove. The maximum actual line angle allowed by the binding wire is related to various limiting factors, such as conductor size, tension, span, sag angle, insulator type and orientation, etc. For more information on the issue of small line angles, please consult the company.
